Ontario Mortgage Application Coordinator

Role Description:

This is a contract, 40 hour-per-week, remote role for a residential Ontario Mortgage Application Coordinator. Drawing on hands-on experience with the details and nuance of residential mortgage applications and the mortgage approval process, the Mortgage Application Coordinator will be responsible for assisting borrowers complete on-line applications and for shepherding completed applications through the approval process.  Working over the phone and via chat and email with borrowers and lenders, the Mortgage Application Coordinator must possess exceptional communication skills and an attention to detail while in a time-critical environment.  This is not a 9-to-5 role – the application co-ordinator will be assisting borrowers on their schedule. Experience with prime and non-prime application parameters will be an asset, as will the ability to help shape application details to ensure they closely meet mortgage lender needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Mortgage Agent level 1 by FSRAO
  • Demonstrable, detailed experience with mortgage applications and borrowers and related Canadian approval processes
  • Understanding of the current Canadian residential mortgage industry, including mortgage products
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and productively in a remote workplace environment
  • Proficiency in mortgage CRM/POS software and other relevant tools would be an asset
