Apply Financial Inc. Digital Data Protection and Security Policy – How we Protect your Data and Account

Our commitment to you
As part of our commitment to keeping your information safe and secure, we have the following security measures in place:
- Enforcing the use of strong encryption (SSL) within web browsers (256-bit in updated browsers, 128-bit minimum) to prevent others from being able to read or tamper with your account. Your identity is verified through multiple factors.
- Maintaining equipment such as firewalls and intrusion protection systems designed to help prevent and detect unauthorized access to internal systems and maintain the safety of your information.
- ’At rest’ data encryption
Security enhancements implemented to protect you:
Masked personally identifiable information (PII):
Masking partially replaces the personal information in your account with asterisks, and masking is standard operating procedure in all our Preliminary stage terms, applications and proposals. Lenders are shown masked PII until you choose the proposal and lender that suits you best–only then is that lender permissioned access in order to contact you to complete your loan or mortgage.
Restricted Access:
Profiles, accounts and application access is digitally limited and password protected at Apply Financial to Senior loan and mortgage administrators only. Access is tracked and monitored by Apply.
Identification:
In order to ensure the identity of our customers and prevent fraud, we verify each customer’s identity in accordance with the standards set out in anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism legislation, and associated regulations.
‘Delete my account’ option:
As part of your Profile Settings menu we offer you a data grenade. Hit the ‘Delete Account and Data’ button and all of your profile data will be destroyed. All we retain is your email address.
Timeouts:
If you’re away from your online session for more than 10 minutes, your session will be interrupted.
